Handmade Holidays ~ Felt Owl Ornaments

I know I posted about these cuties last year but I have been at it again! I just love felt and I simply love these little owl ornaments.  The  pattern is a freebie from Anna Maria Horners site!  I am getting quite a pile of them, they are now all happily hung on my Christmas tree!
Stop by Sara's blog she has been sharing her love of felt as well with a fun garland!

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving.

More Handmade Holidays to come!

Spool Garland ~ Handmade Holidays ~

I am getting ready for the holidays and looking for some fun holiday tutorials to share on my blog!  Let me know if you are interested!  I found this super easy tutorial for Spool Garland and had to try it out!
Only I used good old Aleene's Tacky Glue instead of Mod Podge (I did not have any on hand).
I LOVE how it turned out!

I used some of my favorite Jennifer Paganelli prints!

My garland turned out about 12ft long!
I think I will be making more!
You can now find NutMeg Designs on FACEBOOK HERE!
Hope you are having a wonderful day!

The Block Swap Progress

I am finally making some progress with my quilt form The Block Swap Quilting Bee! I thought for months I wanted to sash each block in another solid color, then it finally came to me this week why bother when the blocks all flow together so well side by side!  I love how it turned out and I am so very thankful to the ladies that helped make this quilt possible!

It kind of reminds me of All Sorts licorice candy! What do you think?

The top measures 60" x 60" square!  I am getting feedback that it should be bound in charcoal with bits of red and aqua!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

What a hoot!

I have been having so much fun with this design, I wanted to share it with all of you!  This fun little owl can be made in to a number of projects!  I traced the patten on to fusible web and then did a raw edge applique to stitch into place on a plain long sleeve t shirt.

Just click on the below photo and print to your desired size!

Love my little model she is bundles of fun!!
 Up close of the applique!
The owl here is approx 8" tall just to give you an idea!
And I used buttons for the eyes!

Hope you are having a wonderful day!
