Dump Trucks for Dolls.........

I walked in to my kitchen and found the boys (my son & nephew) busy at work, when I asked them what they were doing they told me they were playing house and (the little papers taped to the edge of my table) are bananas and they are feeding their trucks banana stew because they are hungry of course! I guess that is life with boys! Dump trucks take the place of dolls. Here is another prime example: for my son's Valentine box we had to have an equal amount of truck stickers to add with the sparkle hearts. On another note I think we are finally free of viruses in my house my son ended up on 2 rounds of antibiotics before he got well.
I have had little time to craft, but I am working on a new small quilt. Here is a peek
I think the colors look yummy all stacked up!
I joined a quilt swap and this is my first mini quilt! It is called a Crazy Star & I love how it turned out it was a little hard to send away. Hopefully she will like it as much as I do!

I am so sad this is what we woke up to this morning we had a crazy wind storm last night and it tipped my sons playhouse over! He cried when he saw it I almost did to, I saved all last winter to buy it for him. It completely ripped the anchors out of the ground along with my neighbors front porch, we are lucky no one was hurt, but it still makes me sad to look at it!

We can see some damage, but the hubby needs to look at it further to see how it can be repaired! And the wind is still blowing!Hope you have a wonderful day! Meg

  1. How funny that the boys were using cars for dolls. I have 3 daughters, 4 grandaughters, and one grandson who is only 8 mos. old. I can't wait to see what kind of playing he does. It's so sad about the play set. Perhaps it won't have too much damage and can be turned upright and repaired, They are very expensive. The storm hit us too but we didn't have any damage. It was a little scary though.

  2. Hi Meg!!! That quilt block is FABULOUS!!! It makes me HAPPY just looking at it!

YEP... wind is blowing here too... LOTS of branches down... icebreak and flooding... LUCKILY though for us... no lost shingles or damaged awnings... But the warmer temps have been wonderful!

    Lala :o)

  3. Oh no! I'm so sorry about your son's swing set! Hopefully it will be able to be fixed! That wind sure was nasty wasn't it? It blew apart my daughter's Step 2 playhouse, so this morning my oldest son picked up all the pieces while walking the dog...he's a good big brother!

BTW, I love the mini quilt!

  4. The mini quilt is so cute! Yes, I can see how hard it would be to turn loose of that.

So sorry about the playset. Even more heart-breaking that it's your son who is affected. Hope it won't be too difficult to restore.
