GIVEAWAY DAY!!!!

For the Giveaway Day Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite new product called Texture Magic, it is so much fun! I first read about a similar product here and knew I need to have some, So now that I have found it I want to share it with you too!
You will receive 1 pkg of Texture Magic Size: 47" x 18". Detailed instructions included. Along with 35, pre-cut 2"x 2" squares in a fun variety of prints and this fun little purse size notebook holder made by me (notebook & mini pen included)! All you have to do is leave me a comment in this post, tell me about a fun sewing product you love! Deadline is midnight 12:00 Eastern time in May 31st! Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on June 1st. International welcome!

I wanted to have a tutorial finished to post, I made this little notebook cover, but then thought there are already so many wonderful tutorial out there already! Like this one, and this one and this one is great too.

So Here is a bit of mine in photos...
I started with lots of 2" x 2" squares.

Stitched them together.

The used Fusible Fleece and the Texture Magic. Iron on the Fusible Fleece

and the pin the Texture Magic in to place.

Quilt the seams to hold the Texture Magic in to place.

The using a STEAM IRON "DO NOT TOUCH IRON TO TEXTURE MAGIC",

you hold over iron a few inches over to steam and the fabric starts to shrink.

Depending on where you stitched your fabric to the Texture Magic

is where it will pucker. I ran my stitches on all of the seams

to create little pillows of patches!

Your creative ideas are endless with this product!

This is the back view of the mini notebook holder

Interior View!

Good luck and be sure to check Sew Mama Sew for a complete list of giveaways!

Happy Giveaway Day! Meg

  1. Neat product. I've never seen it before. It could really come in useful. I've got all kinds of ideas floating around in my head.
As far as a product that I like. It is actually one I have never used because yesterday is the first time I saw it. It was the tread fabric that you find on the feet of children's footy pajamas. I never thought about being able to buy that. A lady from England was in JoAnns in Knox. TN buying it. She was so happy to find it.

  2. Very cool! One of my favorite tools that I use all the time is my 6 1/2" cutting square. It's so small it doesn't get in the way and it's great for trimming those "little bits" that get left over!

  14. Wow, I would love to win this and make it for one of my young cousins. As for a product I love, it has to be my grandmother's sewing machine, which I'm learning to use! Makes me feel close to her.

  17. I LOVE me some double fold bias seam binding! I use it for everything, binding quilts, pot holders, clothing, applique, everything! I have the tools to make my own but it's just too easy (and cheap when it's on sale 50% off) to buy it premade. :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. looks like fun stuff, I'd love to give it a try on some projects. One project I am loving right now is doing some embroidery for my daughter's wall. It's been ages since I've done it and it is quite relaxing. thanks!

  19. I love sewing skirts. It doesn't matter the pattern.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I love making little projects - like chequebook covers, key fobs, notebook covers, tissue covers - such a quick way to make a great gift.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That looks so neat! How fun! I don't do a ton of sewing, as I'm brand new to it, so I don't really have favorite products yet. Anything that makes it EASY! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  22. That's so cool, I've never seen that! I am fairly new to sewing, so my favorite tool right now is my seam ripper! :D

  29. This product is new to me too. Worked pretty neat on your item! My favorite sewing product is my serger. I love the finished look it gives to even the simpliest project. If a serger is not considered a product, I would have to say I like the set of plastic chop sticks I recently purchased. The fine point helps me turn corners much better than the wooden blunt-end sticks I had been using. Thanks for sharing in this giveaway. http://sewmanyprojectssolittletime.blogspot.com hellopf@yahoo.com

    ReplyDelete
  34. My favorite thing (because I am not nearly as great as you at sewing) is fabric tape. Whatever I can't sew I use the tape on and it's been great. Maybe that's sort of cheating but it works for me! I've done things like window treatments and aprons for my daughter's birthday party. They turn out great and no one ever knows. Although someday I hope to be much better at sewing.

  149. I've never heard of the texture stuff, but it sounds amazing. I've just started playing with Wonder Under, (I've always been afraid of applique--until now), and living in a small town, I haven't had much chance to explore the options.

  151. How fun. I've been reading about that new product and thought it looked like such fun. Great giveaway.

One of my finds that's fun to use would be Chizimi thread. You can take any fabric and with this thread in the bobbin and top stich around the fabric. Doing this in a criss cross type stitching on a long strip of organza the size of a scarf is very cool. Why? Once you are done stitching on the fabric, you hit that with some steam and it shrinks up much like this product you are giving away. It's really neat to play around with.

My brother bought me a set of the mat and ruler and rotary cutter years ago as a gift and have just recently put them into use making purses.
