Oh my! I'm the first! Even though the first one never wins I just have to say what a fun giveaway! I love to find new things to do with my scraps. One of my favorite things to make is fabric postcards and greeting cards. You can use so many different techniques and they are so fast to make! I always like to keep a supply for every occasion !Love seeing your work, it's wonderful!

ReplyDeleteHallo from Tokyo! I'm quite new to quilting & now love it so much after going to the Tokyo Quilt Fest. My 10 year old sews too & we love to use scraps to do collages on T-shirts or cards. Have a good weekend!

I use fabric scraps to make flowers and decorative accents for my 2 3year old granddaughters clothes. and I also use scraps to make christmas ornaments out of my cross stitching. thanks for the opportunity to win these prizes!

Meadowsweet is my favorite and the book looks like fun! My favorite scrap projects are the selvedge skirt I made for my daughter and a string quilt we've been working on with all the Brownie Girl Scouts in town (about 50!).
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I like to use scraps to use for applique on projects (mostly kids' clothes) and for cutting into 2.5 inch stips to make name pillows for gifts.

I love to make flowers, ruffles and appliques with my scraps... looking forward to a new niece, so I can make her all kinds of girly onesies and headbands.
ReplyDeleteohhh I've been eyeing up that book! & the fabrics are so lovely. Lately my favorite crap project is english paper pieced hexagons because I can carry them with me whereever I go & work on them in waiting rooms, etc. Fabric flowers, pin cushions & doll clothes use up lots of my scraps too! Oh & patchwork deco on dishtowels!

Thank the Lord. I am so excited about it. I found the organza flower. LOVED IT! NEEDED IT! And I figured I would sign up for the giveaway. I would have to say my fav. scrap project has been my tote bag for the kids. I just take all my scraps sew them on to a square piece of innerfacing and then make a really easy and cute tote bag. I love the randomness of the scraps and it is just plain fun time. The kids can help too.My birthday is tomorrow and maybe I will be lucky. Thanks so much for the giveaway and your great blog.

I love to make coffee sleeves (or "cozies") out of my scraps. They are fun to make and eco-friendly because you aren't using the cardboard ones the coffee shops give you.

ReplyDeleteYUM! YUM! YUM! Not too much more needs to be said. =) I love to pull out my scraps and add them into bee blocks & create postcards. I also like to accumulate them and then have my kids sort them into my color binds, it give them something to do while I'm sewing and they love having a part in my favorite hobby.

Scraps are so versatile! Im hoping to make my first quilt this year but may start out with doll quilts for my girls first:)
