Let's get back to business!!!

I have been a little out of it this last month, I think it is due to all of the rainy days we have had or it could be all of that zucchini I have been eating (I have made 6 loaves of bread this week!) I decided it was time to get back into the swing of things and back to my sewing machine!

I love Patty Young's new line Mezzanine! Here is a new tote I made yesterday in the fabrics called Secret Garden, it is lined in hot pink linen!

I have had this idea for a while now, I knew I wanted to make pillow shams with the scraps left over from the quilt along. Here is my first one, I love how it turned out I think the prairie point edging really make the pillow!

I love how it looks with the quilt! I would like to make 2 0r 3 more all different.

Zucchini Everywhere.........

My uncle has a very nice garden! Lucky for me he shares, he grew jumbo zucchini this year so my aunt & I have been trying out many different recipes! Speaking of recipes have you checked out The Pioneer Woman new food site Tasty Kitchen? Lots of wonderful recipe's, today Ree featured a recipe for Molten Chocolate Lava Cake need I say more!!

This is my own "recipe" for a Zucchini and Onion Lasagna, it is super Yummy. I have posted the recipe here!

This is another recipe I tried out, Ree featured it as well Zucchini Pineapple Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting! , I skipped the coconut and ginger and it was still yummy!

Next I am on to sifting through the thousand plus recipes for zucchini bread!

Just wanted to share........

Browsing through blog land this morning I found a few fun finds I thought I would share!

I found this tutorial and I will definitely be trying this! Custom fabric shades, I already have fabrics picked out in my mind, the possibilities are endless!!!

Next rainy day I will be tying this with the kids! Bean Mosaic Thanks Martha!

As for cooking this recipe is high on my list of things to make & eat!

I could not do a post with out a picture, these silk flowers were from a wedding I attended this past weekend! I just love the color!

Fun New Design..............

It is a little crazy but a lot of fun! I was inspired by a similar design in leather, and I though how fun would that be to do in fabric! Here is my first go round, there are some design issues I still need to work out but I think the over all concept is lots of fun!

Rainy Day = Finally Getting Quilt Finished!!!!!

I finally got my quilt finished for Old Red Barn's Quilt Along! I am thrilled how it turned out, I liked all of the fabrics when I was deciding on what prints to use, now I love them! So much I have decide to used this color scheme for our new bedroom! The quilt will be hung on the wall above the headboard of our bed! Lots of polka dot binding!

at just the right angle for photos! This is as good as it gets :)

I do love how quilts look all folded with the binding showing.
