Always listen to your mother...........

Remember the countless time growing up you heard don't run with anything in your mouth! I can not even begin to think how many times I have tried to ingrain that in to my 5yr old sons head.
Well this past weekend our local elementary school had a "Spring Festival" with lots of little games and fun little prizes, well Ben wanted to win the wooden flute the most of all, and he did!
Then when getting ready to go grocery shopping Sunday afternoon he was sitting on his bike in our living room playing his lovely wooden flute and he happened to fall off the bike with the wooden flute in his mouth!
It punctured through the roof of his mouth. Needless to say I freaked out (dear hubby was already in town running errands) so I phoned my mom and dad.
Well after a trip to the ER and some pretty heavy duty antibiotics to prevent a bacterial infection as well as a follow up Dr apt....
The flute went in the trash! He is on the mend, and life is back to normal aside from the soft food diet he is on!
So on to some mini quilts....
I made these for some April Swaps! I loved how the daisy turned out!

Check out the new Asian Inspired launch on ebay.

This is my new listing. A lotus flower appliqued on to linen with a great beaded handle!

I am working on some fun new designs and a tutorial I hope to have finished very soon!

Have a happy day! Meg

Quilt Festival Spring 2009

This great online quilt festival is hosted by Amy of Park City Girl check out her blog for links to all of the amazing quilts and the designers behind them! Also for the chance to be entered in some great giveaways!
I am going to enter my Wonky House Quilt. I unfortunately don't have any special stories about this quilted wall hanging other than the fact it just makes me happy! It took me forever to pick the colors and then I found the perfect blue fabric from Jennifer Paganelli for the sky. Then it is completed with black polka dot binding! It is so bright and cheery it can not help but make me happy! My husband loving refers to this a my "Willy Wonka" quilt.

Stop by and check out the photos on the flickr site!

Have a great day! Meg

Dolly Friends......

I think I am getting hooked on designing dolls! Here is my new one. She is dressed in some of my favorite Jennifer Paganelli Fabrics. I am still working on the head and hair designs I don't love the final look yet but it is getting close!

She has pink hair a zebra head band & sparkling button accent.

I had to do the zebra for the shoes too!

She has become best friends with Daisy! I am still undecided on what to name her, any suggestions!

Have a happy day! Meg

April Showers bring May Flowers.....

I am all for the May Flowers but when these April showers are threatening to turn in to 2" of snow, I am so over it! Let's hope mother nature takes a turn and the snow misses us.
I have been doing a little sewing this past week along with some customs. Here is a little look of what I have been up to!
This bag is made with some pretty prints from Tanya Whelan of Grand Revival Designs her new Darla Line of fabrics !
I am doing a fun little "Matchy" Dance set with my good friend Sharon of Mimisgirls we will be listing on ebay very soon!
I tried something new for the top closure, I think it turned out pretty cute!
