I guess a plus to all of this lovely weather we have had and the fact
I have not been out of my house in almost 4 days.........I got my Wonky Quilt Wall Hanging finished! Yea!!!!!I used the Sis Boom Casey Scroll in Blue the same as the sky.
I added 4 little loop/tabs on the back to hang. I want to find a fun
polka dot curtain rod to hand it, something like this, but black or red! I really love how the polka dot binding looks!Have a Happy weekend! Meg

Andalucia

I am having lots of fun playing with the new fabric collection Andalucia by Patty Young! It has such a eye catching color pallet and great prints. Here are a few new totes I have made using the fabrics.
I love the braided should strap on this one.

This is the first time I have used the metal feet.
I think they add a nice touch

I love this one!

I think the 3 dimensional flower adds a fun touch!

Both will be available in my ebay!

Hope you are staying warm where ever you are it was 8 degrees here this morning!

New Kitchen Curtains

I finally got around to making some new kitchen curtains. They turned out just like I had pictured it, I did not use a pattern I just measured the size of the window and went from there!

Now if only the view beyond the window was this cheery, more snow on it's way!

Have a happy day! Meg

How do you brighten up your day.............

I have had the winter blahs everything is so gray and cold here... so I thought I would brighten up my house. Here are a few of my bright additions!
I love how colorful and fun this quilt turned out! I made it small enough to be a wall hanging. I am going to bind it with a mini black & white dot. It will go on my living room wall I think it will brighten the room up perfectly.
This is my Andalucia pink polka dot house!

This was my dull brown chair! I added a red slip cover & a Garden Party Pillow! Any one have any tips or tricks to keep a slip cover in place.
Hope you are having a bright & cheery day! Meg

Little House of Love......

I love the designs for the holiday felt ornaments I found here and here this year, personally I think they are perfect for all year round not just for your Christmas tree. I wanted to add to my collection so I got to work on this little pattern, just in time for Valentines Day.

Step by Step Directions
First cut out all the pattern pieces. Then find the center along the bottom edge of the house and stitch the door in to place. Follow by stitching the little hearts in to the windows, and then the windows on to the house.

For the sequin roof start at the bottom edge of the roof line and stitch 6 sequins in to place Center row should be 5 sequins
Top row should be 4.

Now line the front and back house pieces together
and start stitching together at the right side of the door,
all around the outer edge.
When you reach the center of the top edge of the roof
slide the ribbon/ric rac in to place and stitch
over a few times to secure.
Continue your way around the house until you reach
the bottom of the left side.Stuff the poly fill in to the little house through the opening,
however firm you would like!
Then continue to stitch the bottom of the house closed.

Enjoy making a whole little village! Meg

Wishing you a Wonderful New Year

Wow I can't believe it is 2009! How the time flies, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I love all of the family gatherings and parties but I am ready to be back on a schedule, I think my little one is too.
Amongst all of the holiday activity my baby turned 5 just a few days before Christmas, how did that happen it seems like just yesterday he was born?
We had a John Deere themed party complete with a tractor on the cake. Lots of fun!

We had a wonderful Christmas, my hubby surprised me with this I was super excited I had no idea, I have been taking photos of everything! Santa was very well to my son, thank goodness his new bedroom will be done soon. My house looks like a toy store.
I took a few days off from sewing and now I have been working on my quilt. I have 16, 9" squares done now I have to take a little break I ran out of a few prints and need to order more.

I really love how it is turning out.

Here is a peek at a pillow top I am working on.

My new living room is going to be accented with Garden Party fabrics!

I have some big ideas for 2009 I can't wait to get started! I hope you all hang around for the fun!

Have a Happy Day! Meg
