Wishing you a Wonderful New Year

Wow I can't believe it is 2009! How the time flies, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I love all of the family gatherings and parties but I am ready to be back on a schedule, I think my little one is too.
Amongst all of the holiday activity my baby turned 5 just a few days before Christmas, how did that happen it seems like just yesterday he was born?
We had a John Deere themed party complete with a tractor on the cake. Lots of fun!

We had a wonderful Christmas, my hubby surprised me with this I was super excited I had no idea, I have been taking photos of everything! Santa was very well to my son, thank goodness his new bedroom will be done soon. My house looks like a toy store.
I took a few days off from sewing and now I have been working on my quilt. I have 16, 9" squares done now I have to take a little break I ran out of a few prints and need to order more.

I really love how it is turning out.

Here is a peek at a pillow top I am working on.

My new living room is going to be accented with Garden Party fabrics!

I have some big ideas for 2009 I can't wait to get started! I hope you all hang around for the fun!

Have a Happy Day! Meg

I really love the pillow top. There is something about beautiful fabric all sewn together...or is it just me?

Thanks for all your tutorials - I enjoyed putting them to work & look forward to your new projects in 2009!

Your quilt and pillow tops are charming! The gorgeous colors are just what you need to perk up dull winter days. I LOVE your quilt design, can't wait to see it finished.

And the happy birthday party looks like lots of fun too! Happy birthday to him!!!

Those are gorgeous! One of my goals this year is to learn to sew for real. I have a wonderful Bernina and I know the basics and have made simple stuff, but I know I can do more - and I will this year!

That looks gorgeous! I have a question though, how did you get it pressed so flat. It seems like no matter how much I press mine, they are never that flat.
