Cupcake Tin Crayons The kids love this idea!

Perfect for a rainy day these Cupcake Tin Crayons are perfect to help keep the little ones busy! Please note this is not my original idea, I have been making these since I was a little girl! But for those of you that have never done this before I will fill you in!
Materials needed:
metal cupcake tin (I used a mini one)
old broken crayons
optional metal fine flake glitter
oven set to 300 degrees

If you are like me you have a whole mess of broken crayons around your house!
First peel off all of the paper wrappers.
Then break them in to small pieces and place in the tins. I fill mine about 3/4 of the way full.We added a shake of metal fine flake glitter to ours!Place in the oven set a 3oo degrees. It is important that you do not leave them in too long just until the wax is all melted this takes just a few minutes, my mini tins were done in about 5 minutes. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED IF THEY GET TOO HOT THEY COULD CATCH ON FIRE!!!!!
Let cool 5-10 minutes. Then I place mine in the freezer for 10 minutes and they pop right out!

the color combinations are endless................
let the fun begin!!

Have a Happy Weekend! Meg

I LOVE this idea! I'm a nanny and sometimes run dry on new ideas....I think we did something similar when I was a kiddo but this is so great! Thanks Meg!

(I posted a question the other day....really not sure if you got it or not. Where did you find the bottoms to your cute cupcake pincushion design? I want to get some to use around my house)
