Hump Day
Here are a few peeks of what I have been working on
This quilt block has fabrics from theMix & Mingle collection by Sandy Garvis I think I am going to make a tote with it.
This fun bag is for the Flickr Group Bag Ladies Swap, this months theme is Shopping Bags and I found this fun tutorial http://whipup.net/2007/09/01/wallet-sized-fold-up-re-usable-shopping-bag/ such a great idea. I added a few of my own revisions & touches and I love how it turned out! Hopefully my partner will love it too! I am going to make myself one as well!
And to save the best for last here is my new Ginger Blossom fabrics (well my first order still a few more to come :) This great collection is by Sandi Henderson of PortabelloPixie this fabrics is just beautiful, even more so in person. My mind is already spinning in the projects I want to complete with this fabric! But for now I will just stare at it.
Have a great evening! MegFriday, February 15, 2008

Think Spring!!!!
I on the other hand can't wait for Spring being in the house all day yesterday prompted me to be Betty Crocker and make a batch of strawberry jelly, 9 dozen cookies and a some pink peppermint marshmellows (which were quite yummy!) I need sunshine!
Here is my new Flutter Tote I love the bright colors and pretty butterflies. The flap has a color block path down the center and the butterflies have button accents. The exterior is in a denim woven with tiny silver threads. I think it turned out quite cheery!
Have a happy Valentines Day!

My New "Little" Project
My grandmother passed a book on to me she has had for 28yrs it is called Quilt in a Day, I am certain the author did not have 3, 4yr olds running around her feet all day! The book is based upon the log cabing quilt square, I have always loved the geometric look though I am not following the traditional color/scheme layout. I choose all of my favorite fabrics and started sewing my plan was to incorporate the blocks in a tote bag now I love them so much I have decided I want to make a quilt for my bed. I have my first 4 squares done the measure 11" x 11", yea only 84 more to go! Wish me luck! Meg
