~Mod Podge~

So I purchased some supplies and channeled my inner "Sara" to create this new project! I am really happy how it turned out.  It is funny to think in all my years crafting I have never used Mod Podge, what was I thinking!

Ben's Train Quilt

Thanks to the help of some wonderful ladies in my Quilt Dreams quilting bee group I made my son Ben a new quilt for his bed!  He choose the train fabric and I thought pieced arrows would be a fun accent in solid colors.  I am really happy how it has turned out.  Now on to the quilting and binding,  not sure yet how to quilt this thing, but I know I want to do the binding in a solid black!

~Cupcakes~

It has been a crazy week I am finally done with my finals and I have a week off of school I am already planning the sewing projects for next week I am having complete withdrawls!!! I though I would share with you some pics of my "other" hobby! Along with sewing I also have a huge love for decorating cakes and especially cupcakes!  I have a small business NutMeg Confections where local people place orders and I get to design!  I though I share a few of my "confections" with you!

~The Pioneer Woman~

I was so excited to find out the The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond was actually coming to Ohio for her 2011 Book Tour!  My sister Becky and I knew we must go, so we set off Saturday morning and stood in line at the Barnes and Noble for 5hours along with 500+ other PW fans and got our cook books and love story signed!

 I must say she was just lovely in person and so friendly!  She had a smile on her face the entire time and was happy to sign the books and get pictures taken with her fans!
