~New in the Shop~

I have been slowly adding jewelry to the SHOP! I have also started making so fabulous headbands! They are 5mm Gold Plated Metal Headbands with garden leaf or petite flower embellishments!
I think this Garden Leaf design is my favorite!
I have short hair and I wear mine all the time, they are also very comfortable.

I have also been inspired to start sewing totes and pursess again, it has been quite a while since I have offered any in my shop but I see many more in the near future!
This one is a small tote measuring 14"wide at the top and 8" tall.
I have used some of my favorite Heather Bailey Pop Garden Fabrics
and lined it in a great black & white damask! It has 2 interior pockets and a magnetic snap.
You also get this great felt flower brooch made using my fabric flower tutorial!
I hope you are having a great Monday!

~Bloggers Quilt Festival Spring 2011~

This is my favorite quilt right now!  I made it with the help of some wonderful ladies from Quilt Dreams ~ Quilting Bee!  It is for my 7yr old son Benjamin,  he choose all of the fabrics and the accent colors!  I love the fact that he appreciates all of the hard work that goes into making a great quilt!  He now sleeps cuddled under it every night and that makes me very happy!

This is Ben!

My favorite part of a quilt is the binding!  I love to hand sew it on!
Enjoy checking out all of the other beautiful quilts in this festival!

~Dresden Plate Quilt WIP~

Well I have finally started my Dresden Plate and I love how it looks so far but I am having a hard time deciding what fabric to use for the center!

 The plate colors
 Here I used the pink...
This was my original plan but I am not sure the teal "pops" enough...
 This might be the answer?
What do you think?  I would love some input!!!
We finally have a beautiful sunny day today!

~Spring has finally Sprung~

I think this is the most beautiful my lilacs have ever been!  I had only 6 blooms last year and told my husband he could cut it down,  I am so thankful he did not listen to me!

~The To Do List~

It just keeps getting longer and longer!  I have a stack of quilts that need to be finished but I keep planning on more! Such is the way of life of a fabric addict!  Any way I ordered some felt from Heather Baileys store and it arrived, it is so pretty I can not wait to start playing with it!  I have some new flower headband ideas that I can't wait to try out!
 next on my list...
this stack of YUMMY fabrics
will be part of my next  my next project.  I finally found some dotty fabric in red and white. I have been drooling over this quilt since I first saw this cover of Material Obsession!

I am not even sure how I missed blogging this!  I was super excited when my DQS10 arrived and it turned out to be the quilt I had been "stalking" on flicker in hopes of it showing up on my doorstep!  The amazing Rachael of Blue Mountain Daisy did a perfect job in creating a quilt that represents everything I LOVE!
The back is just as amazing!
I am highly considering making a replica on a larger scale for my new living room.
Just one more thing to add to my to do list.....
The sun is finally shinning here!
I hope you are having a happy day!

~Play Room~

We recently reorganized some rooms in our home to create a Play Room for the kids.  I thought it was so funny because the first thing my little boy said was "mom you need to make a sign for the door", he knows his mother well. I wanted something fun and colorful (as always) so this is what I came up with!

First I used Word Art in my Microsoft Word program and typed in the letters for play room
then I flipped them backwards
so when I traced them onto the wonder under they would be correct.
then I ironed them on to the fabric and cut out the letters!
Ironed them onto a piece of white fabric and cut the rest of the shapes free hand.
I used a "sketchy applique" or freehand applique
do not look too closes my freehand still needs a little work!
I have been wanting to make a little banner.
I have been seeing a lot of these lately and they are so cute
I am really happy how it turned out! I think it is perfect for a Play Room!
I hope you are having a wonderful day!
